Tried the new rice paper roll shop on Adelaide St. Got the peking duck an chicken curry rolls. Very fresh and enjoyed them. The sauces (hoisin and curry) were not overly salty and just right. I sensed that they might be hoping to create the next big thing like “sushi” by the pricing and the wrapping presentation of their rolls. Taste wise I think it makes perfect sense! Very healthy too. Perhaps the volume factor might be one thing the consumers may dislike.
Also tried their banhmi. The loaf is a softer one with a chewy crust rather than the crusty ones I am used to probably to withstand being wrapped and sold on display rather than being freshly made. It worked I think. Enjoyed it.
Their pho was sold out at 4pm.
