夜食 / Late Night Meals / Memsie Homestead Red

最近体重が増えてきた気がします。というのも被災した両親が当地に手伝いに来てくれているため(最近の餃子は両親作です!)、美味しい食事が家で待っているわけです。仕事中の食事を控えればいいだけの話なのですが、どうしても仕事中は仕事中でお腹が減ってしまい、結局両方食べ手しまう事が多いのです。例えば今日の母作の食事。Mustard Crusted Snapper, Sauteed Zucchini, Oyster Mushrooms blanched in dashi, potato salad。最近仕入れてみたMemsie Waterwheel Redで乾杯!

Picking up weight slowly.  My parents are here to help (Our gyozas are now made by them!) whilst they wait for infrastructure to resume in Sendai and my mother cooks good meals for when I get home.  I suppose I can just not eat during work but….   Tried a new red we ordered for Taro’s.  Memsie Waterwheel Homestead Red from Bendigo.  A blend of Shiraz, Malbec and Cab Sav.  Shiraz is the predominant so nice sweetness and boldness but keeping smoothness.  A slightly grainy barly like aroma and good sustained lingering finish.

    There’s nothing like food cooked by Mom – no matter how hard we try to replicate the recipes, we can’t ever achieve the same flavours!
    I reckon the secret ingredient is love! =)

    余震速報等が流れる度、ご両親の御心労を察していましたが、Brisbaneでお元気のご様子、少し安心しました。太郎くんママの手料理、、、そりゃ空腹じゃなくても食べたくなるでしょうね。電話で確認したY嬢と私の今食べたいもの→太郎くんのチュルチュルらーめん!!
